Problem

Salon bookings in Malaysia happen inside WhatsApp, and finding one time takes four messages: is there a slot this weekend, what time were you thinking, how about three, sorry that one is taken. A plain contact form does not solve this. It moves the same conversation into an inbox.

Approach

Opening hours, the duration of each service, closed days and already-taken slots are defined in a single settings block the owner edits. The page works out which slots genuinely fit: a 120-minute keratin treatment disappears from late afternoon because it cannot finish before closing, while a 45-minute cut stays. Taken slots are not removed — they stay visible and marked, because an empty space explains nothing. Submission is a WhatsApp link carrying a pre-formatted message, so there is no server and no monthly cost.

Outcome

One message replaces four, and it arrives with the service, date, time and phone number already set out. A slot is only held once the owner replies — the taken list is a file they maintain rather than live state, which is how a small salon actually runs.
